Columbia, SC: Tribute To Ramon Brockington
It is with the heaviest of hearts to announce the passing of our dearest Ramon Brockington.
I had the profound honor of filming *Sisters of Surf* with him. Ramon gave me the greatest gift, documenting the most pivotal eras of my life. He was my fearless protector in my darkest times, a constant and reassuring presence. He was like a brother, and the world feels immeasurably heavier in his absence.
To the world, Ramon was kind, goofy, and the surf community’s ultimate hype-man—definitely one of the good-guys. He was deeply mindful of the people he let into his life. Just know, if you ever had the honor to get to know him… we were the lucky ones. He was also a very private man, which makes this loss even more profound.
That being said, I wanted to take this opportunity to reach out to all those who knew and loved him. Let’s connect and organize a Celebration of Life to honor his incredible spirit. If you are that someone, please feel free to drop me a message. Let us remember the light he brought to us all.
