Deborah Pisciotti Waterbury, CT Obituary:Dedicated Kindergarten Teacher At Catholic Academy
It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Deborah Pisciotti, age 57, a beloved resident of Waterbury, CT. Debbie was a dedicated Kindergarten teacher at Catholic Academy of Waterbury, where she had devoted over thirty years of her life to nurturing young minds and guiding students in their early education. A lifelong Waterbury resident and a proud graduate of Sacred Heart High School, Debbie earned her Bachelor’s Degree in History with a minor in English from Trinity College in Vermont, followed by a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Bridgeport.
Debbie’s teaching career began at St. Francis School in Naugatuck before she became an integral part of the Catholic Academy community from its inception. Her passion for early childhood education was evident in her 27 years of teaching Kindergarten, where she fostered not only academic growth but also character, values, and compassion among her students. As a devout Catholic, Debbie took pride in promoting faith and laying a spiritual foundation in her classroom, helping her students build a lifelong relationship with God.
Beyond the classroom, Debbie served as Lead Teacher and co-chair on the New England Association of Schools and Colleges team at CAW and actively participated in numerous committees. She cherished her time spent with family and friends.
