City of Atlanta E911 Dispatcher Shavel Mack Has Passed Away
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved colleague, E-911 Dispatcher Shavel Mack, who left us on November 28, 2025.
Ms. Mack joined the Atlanta E-911 team in 2012, serving for over a decade as a dedicated Police and Fire Dispatcher. She was far more than a vital part of our operations; she was a vibrant spirit whose warmth and love touched everyone around her. Known affectionately as our “dancing songbird,” Shavel possessed a smile so radiant it could brighten the darkest room and lift the heaviest of spirits.
Her unwavering dedication to the citizens of Atlanta was a testament to her character. Today, we honor her memory, her service, and the indelible mark she left on our hearts. This loss is deeply felt across our entire team, and she will be greatly missed.
We extend our deepest condolences and keep her family and friends in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Shavel Mack will forever remain in our hearts and memories.
